On November 30, 1962 I started work at 1025 McCarter Highway
Newark.
The first day I worked in the storeroom with Johnny, Frankie and Danny.
The second day I went with Eddie Gillies to do "startups" down at Port
Newark, lighting
up the unit heaters that were so high the birds were flying lower than the
heaters.
The next day I worked with Ray Weinstein cleaning gas refrigerators and I
knew
everything was alright with this job. The last thing I remember it
was August 18, 1999 and Steve Maginnis was driving me
home because I was retiring after 37 years at PSEG.
I went from Newark (19 years) to Jersey City (8 years) then
Clifton (2 years) on to
Oradell (1 year) back to Clifton and the last 7 years in Springfield. What
a wonderful trip.
But you know what? I still meet with the "Newark Guys" for lunch and
funerals.
We worked in some rough areas; but we always helped each other out.
Here are some memories in pictures I want to share with my friends

THE LOST VIDEO
Having been retired for almost 20 years, can you believe
it, no way!! I found this video I made at a luncheon at the New Lisbon
in Kearny. It was very dark and with so new technology I was able to
lighten it up. Hope you can view it.
All these guy and what stories we can tell, good
memories.
